The truly charming Anne-Marie and Jean-Marie Astart are both doctors. However, when Anne-Marie's father decided to retire (he sold all his grapes to the Cairanne co-op) Jean-Marie swapped patients for vines, and took on the family's 16 hectare estate. With an intelligent and patient approach, and a great willingness to learn, Jean-Marie has, since 1992, become a top winemaker in the area.

The estate is producing wines of real concentration, elegance, complexity and depth. These are not juicy-fruit, simple concoctions, they are wines that really engage the palate.
