In the early 90's Paul invited wine writer Dan Berger to Texas to do Texas (Messina Hof) versus the world blind tasting events around the state. Dan selected the California or French wines to be featured and Paul selected comparable Messina Hof wines to be the competitors. There were three flights of 2 wines. In Dallas they held the blind tasting at the Adolphus Hotel and in Houston they held it at the Houston Club. In each case the Cabernet Sauvignon won. Paul has been fearless to show that Texas wines are truly world class.
Our finest Cabernet Sauvignon blended with our finest Merlot. It's aged in our best French oak barrels for one year and then in our best American oak barrels the second year.
It has aromas of dark berry and plum flavors with rich vanilla tones.
