Winemaker notes: "The aromatic bouquet of this wine is extremely sweet, spicy and alluring, with vanilla, clove, nutmeg, licorice and dark chocolate, asian spices and incense. There are dark red raspberry and brambleberry aromas intertwined with a sweet creamy notion of a rootbeer float or sassafras and cream.

On the palate with wine is gererous and full bodied for the vintage. The spicy character echoes in the mouth with flavors of sweet black licorice, blackberry, marionberry and aromatics of cinnamon and tobacco. It is savory and deliciously herbal but the wine is sweet and finishes succulent with the savory note adding complexity and appeal.
