17 months in new & used French oak barriques and hogshead.
Colour
Good depth of colour with vibrant purple hues.
Nose
Layered and complex aromatics see cedary oak, dark fruited Cabernet aromas and brambly notes creating varietal distinction.
Palate
The palate shows great depth & width of flavour, with ripe, silky tannins. Classic Cabernet cassis sits along side smoky, spicy oak and more complex notes of violets, tobacco and dark chocolate. This wine is at once concentrated and elegant with fine structure and wonderful length. It seamlessly combines the signature purity of Coonawarra Cabernet fruit with balanced, lingering spice and savoury complexity.

Vintage Conditions
2010 is an outstanding vintage and this John Riddoch will become an important touchstone for this classic Coonawarra season.
