Horse Heaven Hills: Naturally bounded on the North by the Yakima Valley appellation and on the South by the Columbia River, Horse Heaven Hills was officially designated as an AVA in 2005. Its proximity to the Columbia River and a distinctive topography moderate the extreme temperatures of the area and provide steep, south-facing slopes for quick-draining loamy soils.

Fermentation: All lots were hand-sorted, destemmed and fermented separately using traditional, small-lot handling techniques; emphasis given to pressing times to ensure balanced tannins and maximum fruit expression.
