2013 Bedrock Wine Co. Grenache Gris Gibson Ranch

Uncertain of grenache variety- may be Grenache Gris or Grenache Rouge
Vineyard: The Gibson Ranch is the most historical section of McDowell Valley Vineyards in Mendocino. Some of the oldest plantings of Rhone varietals in California can be found at this beautiful southeastern Mendocino County site, such as these 100+ year old Grenache Gris vines.
Soil: Gravelly loam soils
Vinification: It was fermented with 50% whole-cluster with no foot-trodding to maximize carbonic fermentation with the rest destemmed.
Aging: Fermented to dryness with native yeasts and underwent ML in a combination of neutral barrels and concrete tank.Fermented with 50% whole-cluster with no foot-trodding to maximize carbonic fermentation with the rest destemmed.
