"2012 was one of the vintages we always hope for, but rarely get. A great start with no frost and a healthy fruit set led to a warm but never hot summer that let the vineyard slowly ripen and fully express its individuality. When I think of the Three Twins Vineyard, aromatics and texture are two of the first things that come to mind. The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon has both of these hallmark characteristics in a combination that allows me to say without reservation that this is the best vintage for Stone the Crows to date. Aromatically, the lift and bouquet remind me very favorably of the 2011, while the silky texture and fine tannin of the midpalate take that next step that I always knew this site was capable of. A wine of balance and understated power, I would age this wine for 18-24
