1994 Weingut Günther Steinmetz Brauneberger Juffer Riesling Auslese

See wine details

notes from Crush Wines: This Juffer shows a bit more heft through the palate and more comlex fruit that is layered and almost opulent, at least given the wine's age. The fruit here is darker toned and riper, fleshy pears and even soft touches of melon well framed by rich, dark earthen notes that provide satisfying bass tones. While the Paulinsberg is like walking through a spring field, with an almost savory freshness, the Juffer is sweeter, rounder and more voluptuous, though the acidity on the back end still makes the wine taste nearly dry.
