Terroir
Rolled “galets” stones on the top with clay and sand under. Hillside vineyard, situated on the block “Cabrieres” on the north side of Chateauneuf-du-pape.
Variety of grapes
60 % Grenache (vineyard planted between 1891 and 1920) 10 % Mourvèdre - 10 % Syrah
10 % Cinsault - 10 % Counoise
Yield
34 hl/ha
Wine-making process
Manually harvested, hand selected grapes and individually selected berries, destemmed
20 to 25 fermentation and maceration days
Aged in vat first, second in oak “foudres” from June to the bottling 2 or 3 years after
