1993 Quilceda Creek Cabernet Sauvignon

See wine details

Winery notes: We are delighted to announce the release of our 1993 Quilceda Creek Cabernet Sauvignon. This is an exciting new offering for us because this the first time our entire production has been crafted in the highly acclaimed reserve style.

The reserve wines were small experimental lots of Cabernet Sauvignon that were produced in 1988, 1989, 1990 and 1992, with several changes in the winemaking process, which we hoped would improve the quality of our wine. The results more than met our expectation and by the time of the 1993 vintage we felt sufficiently confident in our knowledge to craft the entire vintage in the reserve style.

1993 Quilceda Creek has a dark ruby/purple color and an aromatic profile of black cherry, cedar, smoke, vanilla and spice. Full bodied and expansive, with a wonderful layered impression on the palate, the wine is delicious upon release and, because of its structure, should last 15+ years.
