June 1, 2022 - 100% Perno. South-eastern exposition, a selection of grapes that are not used for the Barolo, mainly from younger vines. Maceration with skin contact for appr. 10 days in steel with a following affinamento of 9 months still in steel. This is a lilting Nebbiolo marked by freshness, perfume and the trademark balance of the vintage. Wild strawberries, mint, grenadine and a whisper of white pepper appear quickly on the nose and introduce a pure and translucent Nebbiolo experience with a harmonious fruit. The texture is limber and carries fine, tender tannins, touched by a strawberry-like inner sweetness and just the right amount of zest. Freshly cut red & purple garden flowers, rosewater, crushed red berries, red plum, grenadine and in the background swaths of tar are convincing and defining a pure & clear Nebbiolo bouquet. Sapid finish. Really beautiful.
