  September 4, 2022 - Medium dark. Not a lot of age showing. On the nose, there's a hint of both iodine and blood, but most of the former, below a suave and smooth dark berry fruit. Both scent and taste are mellowed and showing maturation, yet not so much age. The structure tilts towards freshness, as if there's not quite enough fruity stuffing to give it a well rounded harmony. With the food, Reindeer, mash and mushroom sauce, this sits really quite well. An excellent wine! (I now follow the original Parker points system, where 88 is "excellent".)
