Community Tasting Note

  • RyanWu Likes this wine: 92 points

September 24, 2022 - All the good things were there on day one. The other half was decanted in wine cellar for a day. However, it faded away so fast on day two. On the first day, the nose was full of dry herb, mineral, and some dark fruit underneath. The body was dusty but filled with chocolate. Just like midnight pumpkin coach, the magic was gone on day two. This is so wired for me that this tannic young wine faded away in this pace! I rated 93 on day one, but only 91 on day two. The aging potential for me is questionable that I might not be a fan after celllaring.

10/3/22, 2:28 PM - I am curious if it was just shut down on day two; but if actually faded, this makes me wonder if it might need a slow-ox instead of a fast-ox method.

I'll have to try my own little experiment based on yours when I receive my case. Thank you for the notes!

10/3/22, 2:45 PM - I kept the wine in wine cellar which is 55 F. I did the same thing on 2017 Chateau Clinet. Both are Merlot based wines, but Clinet was a no doubt winner on day 2

10/4/22, 3:01 AM - Not really positive on that.
