10/12/22, 12:17 PM - Ya I tried a sample when I visited in the summer. Good wine for sure, but needed some time imo.

10/12/22, 7:00 PM - Haven’t even gotten mine delivered yet, I think end of the month?

I nominate you Nick to take one out for a test drive and let us know your thoughts 😉

10/13/22, 5:34 AM - Ha - I didn’t even purchase any yet. Been loading up on 2012 and 2016 wines from auction instead. Grabbed some Chappellet Pritchard and Lail J Daniel this week. Scared of the 18 and 19s since I haven’t had great experiences with either yet. I think my tastes are evolving to appreciate some age on bottles nowadays. Yikes

10/13/22, 10:24 AM - gymnast - do you know the source vineyards for this? These wineries can be vague sometimes.

Mine ship late Oct/early Nov and will try one either around Thanksgiving or at Christmas.

10/13/22, 10:28 AM - VV said they can't reveal vineyard sources, but did say the wine is made from vineyards in Oakville and Yountville.

10/13/22, 10:29 AM - @Nick have you tried 19's from VV? Some of the best wines I've ever tasted imo.

  • NickRut commented:

10/13/22, 10:44 AM - I tried all of the SVDs and LOVED them. They were some of my favorite 19s I tried and I tried a bunch. Just didn't get the chance to taste this bottling. Might just take a flier on 3 or 6 since I'm sure they'll be solid.

10/13/22, 11:08 AM - Hey Nick, you finding the auction market to have some good deals right now?

I would assume with the markets and economy imploding that the answer would be yes, but you never know...

  • NickRut commented:

10/13/22, 11:19 AM - Yeah - for sure. I've been buying stuff at 30-40% off WS Pro lately. Trying not to lose my mind as my net worth is down a bit but I love a good wine deal.

  • blarmston commented:

10/13/22, 11:33 AM - Got it, thanks. I'll have to take a look at K&L auction to see what they have...

10/16/22, 7:02 AM - Sean 7711. Sam text me the below info at the time of purchase cause I was initially undecided. 99% CS and 1% CF. Cab Sauvignon comes from True Dog Knoll which is in Oakville below Harlan b/w VHR and Futo. Also CS from Sleeping Lady in Yountville. 1% Cab Franc comes from Beckstoffer To Kalon.

10/23/22, 11:02 AM - Just tasted the wine Friday. Fantastic wine for the wine imo. Also easier to pull and let the others age due to the price point

10/23/22, 6:21 PM - Tasted this past Saturday with Samantha at Wheeler farms. I had ordered it earlier in the year but had yet to taste it yet. We sampled it and loved it so much. I bought another 3 pack and so did everyone else in the group Amazing wine and is drinking great now, I would pop a bottle when you get it, just decant 4 hours or so

11/9/22, 5:04 PM - Just received my three pack of this today, and hot damn- if this wine tastes as good as these labels look, its gonna be a hundo rating.

Arguably the coolest looking bottle that I've seen in a minute...
