December 8, 2022 - Cork disintegrated upon opening, required some skillful manipulation of the durand to get out. Deep ruby with some bricking on the rim. Initally offering aromas of stale cigarettes that with enough air become a more pleasant cigar with some cinnamon intermixed. Medium body, medium acid, medium-to-medium-plus grippy tannins. Thin on the front of the palate with some red fruit, particularly raspberry, along with some blueberry juice and a hint of mid-palate rosemary with air. Lacking depth. The fruit felt faded without picking up any interesting secondary characteristics. Past its prime, with condition of the cork suggesting poor storage (bought on secondary market recently).

12/15/22, 9:05 AM - The bottle may have been poorly stored, but the cork would not be the indicator of that. My bottles have been perfectly stored (and taste great), but the corks crumble 100% of the time. It's just what the corks are.

12/16/22, 9:39 AM - I am down to 3 bottles from a case purchase. All were outstanding. I am standing one up now to consume over the Holidays. Your experience is why I am hesitant to ever purchase wines on the secondary market. Sorry for your bad experience.....
