  December 19, 2022 - A high tone nose of white pepper, violets and a touch of resinous oak. Dark fruits with a pleasing sweet edge, coal dust and a touch of bacon fat. Tight but very balanced on the palate. Just a touch of fine grain tannin, good acids. I did wish for a little more savory character and could do without the oak. Really needs another decade to relax, broaden and show its full potential.
