  Mid brown colour with hints of green. Reminds me of the Barbeito Boal '78 from years ago. Very clean nose - green apples and citrus peel. Smooth round entry on the palate but then comes the immediate grip on the tongue which lingers as the wine becomes sweet and mellow again before the acidity finally kicks in at the finish. Towards the sweeter end of the Verdelho scale but the finish is whistle clean as you'd expect. This is a subtle wine, constantly changing in the mouth. Enigmatic and hard to pin down and very much in the Borges (subtle and slightly sweeter) style. A lovely verdelho, best served very slightly chilled to compensate for that sweetness.
