April 22, 2009 - At first the wine is closed with tastes of oak dominating and the acidity out of balance. Two hours of decanting revealed softer fruits on the palate of cherry, raspberry and blackberry. Finish is still oak but it doesn't dominate like it did after the pop and pour. Suggest 3 hours of decanting or several years of cellaring. Should produce and please given enough time.
