December 23, 2022 - Decanted for a few hours and this still needs time. The regular bottle comes out juicer/riper and over better. Muted/astringent with high acid. Some cherry, vanilla and tobacco are there but buried by structure. Hold for at least five years.

12/30/22, 10:12 AM - Thanks for taking one for the team here and among several other N. Italians recently. It seems you are a master of the WH Close-Out section! Looks like I missed out on the 2017 Poderi Aldo Conterno Barolo Bussia, but that you skipped the Oddero Convento.

1/4/23, 10:42 AM - Haha. That sounds like a foolproof plan. Alternatively, we could pull our resources together and enjoy all the bounties wine house’s closeout section has to offer :)

1/4/23, 1:58 PM - I'm just happy you guys leave a little on the table after you swoop in! Some of the Italian offers have slender quantity to begin with. (Then again, when I see the "starting" availability, that's probably after you've already scored.)
