  April 22, 2009 - Faint on the nose, but not on the palate. Medium-bodied with berry fruit, earthy flavors, astringent tannins on the finish. A bit on the rough side, but typical for traditionally made Madiran. Shows best with food, and the tannins should mellow with some age.
