    1/10/23, 11:04 AM - Did you decant? Just had 2004 Ca del Merlo and it was similar upon opening...almost like turpentine...but then 2 hours later it was sublime!

    1/10/23, 11:27 AM - I didn't and I think it would have been a mistake. The profile became more oxidized with air, rather than improving. This was an auction purchase of which I got two other bottles (98, 99 vintage). One was fabulous and the other more badly oxidized than this.
