  April 26, 2009 - 13% alcohol. always a fun monkey in the left bank wrench as it's a merlot based wine. a pleasant nose dominated by some graphite. weak tannin indicates this wine is ready to drink, and i would expect to to hold for a while, but not necessarily improve. i like this quite a bit more than the professional critics. clearly, it's developed more expressively than they predicted. violets, leather, a hint of toffee.
