  February 1, 2023 - Nice nose of darker fruit, cedar, graphite, and a touch of brambles. Then, I really tried to appreciate this second growth. My eighth of 12 bottles and they all were similar. I have enjoyed many other vintages of this usually great wine. However, there was a lack of concentration and an acidity that overpowered the cassis and lavender. 2 hours in the decanter before tasting. Tasted the second night and no better. Tasted with several Francophiles and all had the same thoughts. Purchased the case from Costco. Impeccable bottles and corks so probably not the issue.
