  April 29, 2009 - I was shocked how big and tannic this wine is 9 years in. Some fruit, smoke and tar did emerge after a few hours but this is a huge wine and the tannins still have a stubborn grip. I'm not sure how it will intergrate in the future. The structure seems awful backwards. Definitely old school. Maybe more cellaring will reward the patient. This wine should be extremely long lived.
