  May 1, 2009 - Deep inky purple in appearance. Aromas are bursting out of the glass - lots of blueberry jam, kirsch, cigar box - lots of dark fruits. Again very smooth on the palate - medium tannins, great balance - as smooth as velvet. Now getting chocolate covered cherries, blackberry jam, slight sweet fruits with a touch of peppery spice. Good long finish - excellent.
