    2/24/23, 8:05 AM - Bummer. I sometimes think that Champagne is less likely to be corked, although this might not be true. We do tend to drink Champagne a little younger than other wines, and maybe that has something to do with it. Logically, it would be corked from time to time like other wines, but I cannot recall ever having a corked Champagne.

    Not my first corked champagne but I don't recall many of them

    My opinion is that in a slightly corked champagne, like this case, the bad TCA notes tend to hide themselves in the first moment after the opening, maybe due to the CO2.

    This time I noticed the TCA only after a few moments, not immediately, and went back to the cork, that I guilty overlooked to check immediately after opening, and the corkwd wiff was clearly present.
