  May 3, 2009 - Decanted this wine and began drinking after 2 hours of oxygenating. Initially, this wine was very tight, with incredible amounts of tannin for such an older wine and really masked fruit taste. However, after an additional hour of waiting, this wine began its ascent into a fantastic wine quality. The dark cherry and currant flavors began exploding out combined with a tobacco and chocolate in the finish and the tannins began mellowing out significantly. Quite a complex wine with many different flavors meshing together.
