April 4, 2023 - Really clean lines with bright red fruit showing good lift, leather, cedar, faint herbs and talc. Maybe a little too Modern but very elegant and pure. Probably too young but I don't see this improving wildly.

4/5/23, 9:51 AM - Lisini has become one of my favorite BdM producers. Agree their normale seems to open up young and stay there. One of my favorite wines I tried last year was their '04 Ugolaia, which I think they wind a little tighter -- I've never tried a younger Ugolaia, but it was in perfect shape at almost 20.

4/9/23, 8:52 AM - I had a glass on day two and the fruit was much darker and richer. Maybe this could improve wildly with 5-10 more years.

4/13/23, 9:17 AM - I just tried a '16 Ugolaia and it was impressive, but I could see both of these wines being even better at age 20, I'm just not sure I have that kind of patience.

4/13/23, 10:26 AM - I'm the same way, actually. Although I certainly love the occasional well made 20yo BdM that was built for the long haul, my palate and patience aren't good enough (and my cellar isn't big enough!) for me to seek them out preferentially over a decent quality normale.
