  May 10, 2023 - Pnp. This is very good and nicely showing signs of age. Dusty red currant and raspberry with a beam of spiced plum dominate the fruit profile but the wine is showing mostly secondary aromas of pan drippings, peppercorns, tarragon, bay leaf and oolong tea. There's also a baked ham element that may be remnants of reduction. So savory on the palate it makes your mouth water. Here, the fruit is very delicate and finishes with fine tannin. After it sits a few minutes in the glass it begins to put on weight but never exactly fills out into something rich. At this point the wine is delicate yet still packed with flavor.
