May 17, 2023 - I've had older Briords that tasted younger. (Curiously this item exemplifies a maturation pattern similar to one I noticed in 2012 Simone—of all things.) Brittle banana peel leather; waxy seed resins; a beckoning core of radiant, solar fruit. It's like a package of botanical defense that contains a proportional embarrassment of palate nutrient. Small sips at nearly room temperature, as one commenter noted, that's where the needle fits into the groove. Also, it improved with air; the last five ounces in the bottle, kept over night, made the tastiest pour. Green floral musk. Cured lemon peel. Very long, gravel, salt, and sour steel finish. I used to be able to find Cote de Beaune that acted like this.
