June 7, 2023 - Nearly three hour decant. Deep dark ruby color, with a very thin rusty rim. Black cherry, blackberry, truffle-infused milk chocolate mocha, chamomile, raspberry jelly, and graphite. Smooth, dry palate, with cottony/chalky tongue enveloping acidity. Firm, full tannins on the long finish.

This is a rare combination of rich and elegant. There’s almost a tactile quality to the nose. There were more notes than I recorded here and they come and go in varying combinations.

6/8/23, 9:50 AM - This was my fourth or fifth bottle of this. It was my belated b-day wine because I was traveling for work over my b-day. It’s a rare $300+ wine I will shell out the money for. My wife liked it more than I did. I’m looking forward to trying the ‘18 (next year). Cheers y’all!

    Happy belated birthday, too!
