  June 8, 2023 - I don't normally do negociant Sauternes but this was in dad's cellar and needed drinking so....
  
  Color/App: deep gold core; medium viscosity. Bouquet of apricots, peaches & nectarines sauteed in scorched butter, mixed with pineapple and brown sugar. Palate showing sweet peaches and apricots with little botrytis or complexity and a touch of bitters and black tea on the moderately-long finish. Honestly, the palate is better than the nose but falls short in a very good vintage; it's just a sweet dessert wine with not much more to exhibit than sugar. Meh (at best).
