July 2, 2023 - Interestingly, a year ago, quaffed the 2020 vintage of this wine, and came up with the same 87 score.

I gave it the benefit of my doubt then, and I'll give it 86 this year. Maybe it's my bias for Moulin-a-vent...

This wine is enjoyable for what it is, but to me, it's not spectacular.

I'll wait until the 2nd or 3rd day in the decanter to sip the remainder of this magnum.
    * Addendum -
This gets 85 from me. It's definitely not better after 2 days!

Typical Gamay sparkling Ruby red color
    Pale Ruby
Nose pronounced fresh cut violets, raspberries and cassis( black currants)
    Orange zest
    Earthiness, ever so slight

    Body light
    Acid? Med low
    Alcohol med
    Tannins light

Good wine, well made, and there's nothing wrong with it....
Except, I shan't spend anything on this again.

I could try the Tardive Cuvee`, just to see if it's better.
But, it likely takes a little time in the cellar, but will a slightly more tannic recipe of this wine, actually get better?
    For me, not measurably...

    And then it's, opportunity cost!
There's just too many better wines out there, including Cru de Beaujolais', so... can you say, Moulin-a-vent?

    On to the next!
(Maybe Drouhin IS the winery of choice in Beaujolais?)

    PS- Drink The Rainbow!

    7/3/23, 12:43 PM - Nothing cryptic.. Lol.
CT requires a score so I use something as a placeholder. Usually it's 55 or the like.
If I don't do this, I often forget the bottles I've actually consumed.
Then, I can scribe my notes over 1,2 or more days and get them in when I have time.
This 6, the TBD - to be determined.
    This wine is 86-88 tops.
But was great with the summery charcuterie board we put together.
    Thanks for the prompt.
A magnum was way more that enough of this wine... But, it was for 6 of my wine guzzling friends and... Wife? 😆😂

7/3/23, 5:23 PM - And now it all makes sense. Or at least a little of it does. But it prompted me to open a bottle of it tonight. It’s a pretty wine and after some air it became more interesting - at first it seemed pretty flat and uncertain. Three hours later it, finally, is showing some verve. Still, hard to disagree with your 87. For a beaujolais it shows very little fruit - minerality, acid, tannin. Weird. I’ll taste it in the morning and see if the fruit has made an appearance.

7/4/23, 11:54 AM - FYI, I’ve been able to post reviews without a score in both iOS app and website. I just leave that field blank.

Big Juicy! You're soooo right and I'm sooo excited!
    Thanks very much for this!!
Someone from CT has been listening methinks.
    Awesome!
Now I can open a note and save it to prompt me, without dozens of other CT users wondering what I'm doing, and having to explain myself!
    Look at that ..
Something so small, yet so Big!
    Thanks again!
    Regards
    Danny
PS- maybe it was a UTS error?
PSS- that's a User Too Stupid error! I've had many of those in my life!
