  January 21, 2006 - Dark garnet color to the rim. Nose shows red berries, spice, pepper, and tobacco. On the palate, cherry and red berry flavors predominate with pepper in the mix. Acidity is prominent, but not intrusive and gives this wine a nice balance. Very nice, and I feel will get better with a few years in the bottle.
