  July 18, 2023 - Rich, dense wine, that somehow reminds of liquid Christmas pudding. A mouthful of crunch black fruit - blackberry and fig, a some Mourvèdre-like funk, bit of toast spice, and a firm sinewy spine of acid and ripe tannin. The less tannic St Emilion comparison is somewhat apt, but the bramble berry breaking like the sun through some spring storm clouds through says zin through and through. Long finish, but with a hit of heat as well. Fantastic now, perhaps even with a little bit of upside in another year or two.
