Entirely drinkable and good / enjoyable with food, but there was this odd sense of reduction, but it really can't be that. A little too gamy and wild? I've got another bottle and hopefully it'll show better. It turns out I was lucky to have grabbed this, though, as it was paired against a pretty humble (vegan) meal.

7/29/23, 11:29 AM - see my somewhat ambivalent view of a 2016 Carlisle Grenache (Rossi Ranch, Sonoma Valley). Grenache reminds me of the film Amadeus: most vintages are Salieri, occasionally there is a Mozart.
