  August 20, 2023 - This full-bodied, classic Châteauneuf-du-Pape is in an excellent phase at the moment. The wine is still fruity, acidic and tannic, but the tannins have already softened and integrated. The wine is displaying layers of marvelous notes of ripe dark fruits, pine needles, herbs and wet stone. The overall impression is deep, solemn and balanced. However, there is some feel of a burnt taste in the wine. But as a whole, the wine now seems to be on its peak.
