  August 27, 2023 - This one was a real surprise. I really enjoyed it, but very hard to rate. If you told me this was from Napa it would have been a point higher!
  So fruity, sweet black berries, so smooth and balanced. The warm vintage really shows through. A slight vitamin smell on the nose when first opening that I rarely notice with Bdx.
  Thanks Mark for bringing this one, it was delicious and perhaps fitting for our old/Bordeaux-with-a-bit-of-Napa-thrown-in type of weekend!!!

  9/2/23, 1:40 PM - Yes, it really was the most Napa-like of all the Bdx that week, wasn't it? Hard to believe this $40 wine is still going so strong. The '09 has been drinking like this one for a while now, but I kind of expect that out of an '09.....I'm really looking forward to my even younger bottles now, too.

  9/3/23, 6:54 AM - I'll have to take a look and see if I have any from a cooler vintage. All the ones I've bought have been pretty good ripe years. Look at my cellar and pick out a vintage you'd like to try. I may have 1 from '00 left, too.
