  September 23, 2023 - This is another bruiser from this famed boutique producer. Dark purple in color and much richer and deeper (undoubtedly due to the Syrah and Mourvèdre in the blend) as compared to the Grenache based Late Bloomer. At the same time, this also strikes me as almost muted in terms of fruit intensity but controlled which gives it a sublime vibe. Given the youthfulness of this wine, I believe that this wine’s better days a still further down the road. Perhaps another 5 years will bring out the best in this. The third wine tasted at Herman Story’s tasting room in Paso Robles.
