  September 23, 2023 - A pure Syrah wine, dark blackish purple with a slightly muted nose of rich black and blue fruits with controlled use of oak. The palate is rich, medium full-bodied, slightly but still very young and tannic at this juncture. Aside from the intense fruit and rich vanilla oak, I was not able to get much more out of this. I think another 5 - 7 years of additional cellar time will bring the best out of this massive wine. The fifth wine tasted at Herman Story’s tasting room in Paso Robles.
