September 17, 2023 - From memory after a 2 hour double decant; outstanding, another great bottle, drink or hold, no rush

9/27/23, 4:22 AM - We scored this bottle the same. Such a beautiful wine!

I've got a Magnum in the cellar I'm sitting on till... 2034 ish.

9/27/23, 4:26 AM - Drinking beautifully, but just entering its peak drinking, for my taste. In a mag, you definitely have time. BTW, the 05 is at least as good!

9/27/23, 9:20 PM - I have a mag as well. Guess I'm waiting until 2034 as well ha.

9/28/23, 8:58 AM - I'll have to keep an eye out for a 2005 bottling as I have not tried that vintage yet. I've been very impressed with the vintage in general amongst the Abreu peers.

9/28/23, 9:08 AM - 05 is my fave vintage & have loved Araujo, Colgins (made by Aubert!), Sloan, Levy & McClellan, Shafer HS, Spottswoode & prob others. 05 Bordeaux are as good (if not better...)

9/28/23, 9:26 AM - It happens to be my wedding anniversary year. Sure does make it easy to pick a good bottle for the occasion! Birth years and anniversary bottles I'm stocking up on!
