October 25, 2023 - Yet another bottle of Outpost Zin that can easily be mistaken for a Napa cab. Enjoyed with HMC the 2nd night after being coravined the first night. Dense, heavy, dark red and black fruited. Big weight in the mouth, again very cab like.....better with an hour or two of air. But I can't score it higher because it's more indicative of cab than zin.....maybe too strong a year for Outpost and their zin?

10/26/23, 5:27 PM - Howell Mtn Zinn. Talk about a recipe for density....we're not big zin drinkers but can understand the similarity to a cab given the provenance.

10/26/23, 5:52 PM - Yeah.....I'm out on future vintages it just isn't very indicative of the Zin varietal for me. It always drinks like a cab and lacks the varietal spicebox component I like in my Zins......well made for sure, but?
