Community Tasting Note

  October 28, 2023 - Part of a walk around tasting at Alpine Country Club. When compared with the Alluvial, this was a shade darker, a shade richer, a little bigger. In a ripe vintage like 2018, I preferred the Alluvial by a whisker. In a cooler year I might like this more.
  Both wines are very nicely made, not excessive although quite big.
  Score: 93. Relative to expectations: ++

  10/28/23, 1:56 PM - JJ did you feel like this was ready or better to sit for a couple years? I know you were drinking a lot of wines fast and can be tough to remember details.

  10/28/23, 8:24 PM - I think time in the cellar would allow the two wines to delineate themselves and show the different terroirs. I would leave them alone for several years.
