November 4, 2023 - I’ve had this Cab before and enjoyed it. This bottle was disappointing for a Napa Cab. Very little fruit. Mostly herbal and vegetal flavors on the palate. Acidic and needed food with it. Drank over 2 nights after 60 minute decant on night one. Likely won’t buy again.

3/21/24, 3:35 PM - The 2019 vintage is a bit heavy on the tannins, I’m aging my bottle because of it. The 2020 is Napa county declassified so it is less tannic and more fruity. If you go to a total wine, and chat up their wine guy, they’ll probably open a bottle so you can taste it. Got to meet their production manager and while we disagreed on the oak level in his reserve chard, I was impressed by amici’s production standards regarding their different wine lines. A lot of the amici cab fruit is coming from $100+ a bottle vineyards so they are worth a second shot.
