November 11, 2023 - Decanted 3 hours and drank over the next hour. Dark black color. Nice floral nose. First sip was chocolate cake with cassis, leather and spice. Oh yeah…my kind of StE. The Cab Franc lives harmonious with the Merlot. So smooth and elegant. This will easily get to 93-95 over the next several years. This is such a classic Monbousquet that will rival 2009 & 2010. Great extraction & flavor layers. Excellent.

11/13/23, 5:17 PM - I always buy Monbousquet. I love the texture & opulence. I’ve had 00, 05, 09, 10, 12 & 15 now. I have 16 in the cellar too. Try to find a 2010. It’s just as good as Canon la Gaffeliere.
