November 11, 2023 - After what I felt was a bit of a disappointing vintage of 2012 DP, the 2013 restored a bit of confidence in this brand and the 1996 tasted on the same day solidified the notion that DP with a good amount of bottle age can really shine. The wine shows a tinge of toast, small mandarin oranges, a bit of floral notes and shows bright, clean flavors. I will forget these last two bottles for 15 years and hope that time rewards.
