Community Tasting Note

  • Brian of Mull Likes this wine: 94 points

November 24, 2023 - Opened for 2 hours. Color is deep garnet/purple. On the nose: Pepper, violets, cassis, iron/beef blood, plum, baking spices and espresso. On the palate: Dark chocolate, baking spices, cassis, dusty tannins, pepper, plum, beef blood, lavender and violets. Long finish with a bit of tartness on the finish. Flavors well integrated but it’s very young. It needs 5+ years. Elegant wine. Nice mouthfeel. This wine is hard to find but worth buying if you can find it. Very good producer.

11/24/23, 5:43 PM - Oh darn, I was hoping to open a '15 Lieu-Dit and was thinking of this one but sounds I should wait. Maybe the Champon...

    Thanks for the note.
