    November 23, 2023 - Last bottle of a 6-bottle purchase years ago. Very similar note to what I wrote in January. Crumbly and PITA cork. Double decanted and drank about half hour later. Delicious wine.

    Oddly in my limited experience with this amazing claret, I found the 2012 better then.. I think it was the 2001.

    For a moment, I thought 10 years was the perfect drinking window, perhaps its the vintage or the bottle!!

    1/7/24, 5:54 PM - For Ridge Monte Bello, Dunn HM, Diamond Creek, a minimum of 20-25 years IMO is needed if you want to understand the hype. Just had a ‘91 DC Volcanic Hill, and it was brilliant.
