  June 12, 2009 - This wine started out with promise -- nice nose, with good dark fruit, bit of funk, a touch of wood. Initially on the palate, quite full with the dark fruit being pronounced. Then things went south. The wine became more and more tannic, losing any semblence of the nice fruit I initially liked. By end of bottle, there wasn't much there except for the tannins. From pleasant to very austere -- not a wine I can warm to.
