  November 30, 2023 - Ordered from a restaurant's wine list, this deep-to-opaque ruby Cabernet was popped, poured and serially tasted over the ensuing two hours. Flush with black currant and dark cherry fruit, it adds notes of tobacco, licorice, mulling spices and dried herbs on both the nose and palate. Full-bodied, seamlessly alcoholic (14.2%), proportionately oaked and with lively acids, it is layered in the middle and has a lengthy finish that carries a fair amount of tannic grip. Give this a couple of more years in the cellar if you can resist popping the cork now. If you can't resist, give it plenty of air (as this bottle continued to improve throughout the tasting interval). Drink 2025-2038.
